Assistance for Relocation of Facilities in Israel, Executive Account to be closed, Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) Policy Memo 20-71
The Assistance for Relocation of Facilities in Israel, Executive Account was established on the Camp David Accord in September 17, 1978 to pay for the transactions to construct two Airfields in Israel.
As part of a data scrub for improving auditability and traceability, Treasury Account Symbol (TAS) 11X1088 Assistance for Relocation of Facilities in Israel, Executive Account was identified as being inactive for several years and carrying a nominal Fund Balance with Treasury of $166.60 based on the last disbursement dated 05 April 2010. The TAS 11X1088 was assigned to the Security Assistance Accounts (SAA) Financial Reporting Entity by Department of Treasury Budget & Appropriations Analysis Section and advised the Financial Reporting Entity to close this account because the purpose had been fulfilled.
Effective Fiscal Year 2021, DSCA will close the TAS 11X1088 Assistance for Relocation of Facilities in Israel, Executive Account under DSCA purview. The remaining balance will need to be returned to Treasury trigging financial transaction in the accounting system that will need to be reported to the Treasury via Government-wide Treasury Account Symbol which may result in a financial statement impact that have to be captured in the SAA Financial Statements.
