5. Security Assistance Management Manual (SAMM) Policy Memorandum 22-55, Assignment of Program Code "L3" to track Fiscal Year 2022/2023 Funding for Peacekeeping Operations in Africa

Effective immediately, Security Assistance Management Manual (SAMM) Chapter 4, Table 2B. is updated to list Security Cooperation (SC) Customer Codes "L0," "L1," "L2," "L3," "L4," "L5," "L6," and "L7" as the codes were established in References a-d for use by the Defense Finance Accounting Service (DFAS) in the Defense Integrated Finance System (DIFS) to track transportation funded for Building Partner Capacity (BPC) Programs and cannot be used for any other purpose in DIFS. Including these transportation codes in the SAMM will ensure the SC Enterprise will ensure the SC Enterprise understands the use of the codes. This memo also rescinds "L3" for Africa Peacekeeping Operations as established in Reference e and replaces it with "UB." The info for "UB" will be the same as it was for "L3." The policy in the attachment is incorporated into the SAMM at https://samm.dsca.mil.
